Community Hospital's Early Childhood Education Center
“Childcare is extremely important. As parents we want the best for our children and we want to be the best parents both at home and at work. At Community Hospital, so many of our employees are parents or starting to plan for children.
We know Mesa County is short 4,000 child care slots. Community Hospital has close to 1,300 employees. A large percentage of those employees already have children or are looking to start families. Community Hospital is building an onsite childcare center for our employees and our community. This will allow us to have 100 available slots for children six weeks old through school ages.
Community Hospital, and their foundation, is looking to create an endowment fund where they can create scholarships for employees who may need some assistance in providing childcare for their family. We know taking care of our employees means them taking care of their families. This really enhances our recruitment efforts, retention and just enhances the overall quality of care we can provide. It means Community Hospital cares about their employees and their families. It’s not just about the work, it’s not just about the patients. It’s ALL of the above. It really makes everybody feel very supported and valued.
We invite you to help us make affordable, accessible childcare a reality at Community Hospital and for so many families across the Grand Valley.”
